Outcome: Secured fund of $620,000.00 for insurance refunds by thousands of Arkansans through class action litigation and settlement.

Description: The Streett Law Firm was retained by residents of Atkins to file suit against an insurance company because of the method the company was using to adjust claims at an amount less then what the Plaintiffs believed they were owed. After an investigation revealed that this same practice was being utilized on insurance claims throughout the State of Arkansas, the case was certified as a class action, and James A. Streett and the Streett Law Firm were appointed co-lead counsel to oversee the legal claims of thousand of Arkansas Plaintiffs. Following an appeal to the Arkansas Supreme Court at which the Plaintiffs prevailed, the case was settled in a manner that resulted in $620,000.00 being secured for the Plaintiffs for refund claims, as well as other monetary and non-monetary relief.
